Borghi Fine Arts, Located at 2 E. Palisade Avenue, Englewood, will be exhibiting 21st
Century Photographs and
Paintings in this fall's art walk. It will be a general exhibition of five very unique and local artists'
work. We will be
showcasing the Photography of Alice Jacobs and Jay Dorfman as well as Paintings from Bradley Narduzzi
Rex and
Paton Miller, along with the work of Sheryl Intrator. Alice Jacobs' photography pulls from beautiful
moments captured in
unexpected places, to counteract world images of war and suffering. Jay Dorfman's photography deals
with a specific
technique that makes his images hard to forget. This technique is called High Dynamic Range Imaging
(HDRI) and was
popular in the 1930's and 40's. Both artists deal with images that seem to stop time which creates a
truly unique
experience. Bradley Narduzzi Rex is changing the way people think about painting. He began painting
in 1986, but he
earned his degree from Columbia University in 1991 as an architect. He received a Junior Fellowship
from the
Guggenheim Foundation which made it possible for him to study with the Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice.
Paton
Miller recently had a one man show hanging here in the gallery at Borghi Fine Art. He grew up in this
area, yet he has a
great sense for exploration. He has been to many different countries, which is where his inspiration
for his paintings
has some from. Sheryl Intrator is a elementary school teacher here in Englewood. She has been teaching
art in schools
for 12 years. Sheryl was always interested in the gallery field, and now she is able to follow her dreams
to show her
work to the public.
